Shaun brown

MS - 2006

Shaun completed his MS research in our lab in 2006.  His project was a Hf-Nd-Pb isotope study of lavas collected from volcanoes located along the full length of the Aleutian island arc.  Shaun did the analytical work for his project in the clean lab and mass spectrometer facilities at Washington State University.  His work at Washington State was done under the guidance of our collaborator there, Jeff Vervoort

Shaun earned his BS in geology from Dickinson College (2002).  He is pictured here at a neatly exposed section of tephra, located near Korovin Volcano, on northern Atka Island in the central Aleutians.  Shaun also had the opportunity to do field work on Little Sitkin Volcano in 2004 during the course of his MS work in our lab.

Shaun is now employed in the Center for Isotope Geochemistry at the Lawrence-Berkeley National Laboratory.  Click here to visit his web page there.
