Girls Go for I.T.

Our goal is to increase the number of girls in the Midlands who consider IT and other STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) careers by giving them the opportunity to learn about IT and coding in a fun and interactive way.

2017 Summer Camps

Week 1

June 12-16, 8:30 am - noon

A fun, hands-on introduction to programming and IT. Use Scratch to create computer games and explore applications of computer science. Come learn for the first time (no programming experience necessary) or build on your knowledge to create a great new project! Rising 6th-8th graders. $110

Week 2

June 19-23, 8:30 am - noon

Can middle-schoolers build apps? Yes! Use App Inventor to create apps for Android phones (bring your own or use one of ours)! Rising 6th-8th graders. $110

Week 3

June 26-30, 8:30 am - noon

Have you programmed a bit (any language, including Scratch)? Learn to program an Arduino to interact with you and the world in a way that your desktop computer can’t!  Rising 7th-9th graders. $120
